Heritage Run &
Osprey Trail

From the windswept isthmus of the Osprey Trail to the coastal reaches of the Heritage Run, these driving routes offer a breathtaking drive through some of Newfoundland’s most stunning and varied landscapes. The Osprey Trail, though only 28 kilometres long, is rich with photo-worthy views, accessible hiking trails, and exceptional birdwatching—making it a must for nature lovers and outdoor adventurers alike. As the road stretches south from Goobies along the Heritage Run, the scenery shifts to rolling woodlands, hyper-oceanic barrens, and dramatic ocean vistas, each with a story to tell—from legendary shipwrecks to the distant charm of Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, just a ferry ride away. Together, these routes offer a journey full of discovery, making it easy to see why a single trip may not be enough.
